Ashish makes sweats work!

Thoughts? Yes, this has been blogged to death and its available now on topshop's site. Its nice but I don't know. I will be making a trip to topshop soon to check it out in person. A little to extreme? Are studs getting cliche? I mean I still love them but I wonder how heavy this is because my Wang bottom stud bag is so heavy that everything I use it my shoulders ache! It's $310 for the jacket and $170 for the pants. Dam, pricey for sweats!

On the other hand, HOt shoes from Louise Goldin for Topshop will be released soon! That I have to get my hands on!

Buy or skip?

I love this fanny pack/bum bag like they call it in England! I don't know if I should and which color? The blue, navy or cream. I love the vibrant blue, turquoise color but I think the navy matches pretty much everything. The cream is a bad color for me because it can get dirty quite easy. Its about $800 from Decades in LA. What should I do? Which color? And are fanny packs coming back? Who cares, right? As long as I like it.... HELP!

O how I want thy?

Regrets! Not buying these were my biggest regrets. These YSL Cage boots have been on my mind since their release Spring 09 and I still haven't been able to get them off my mind. I hate that feeling. How hot are these????? Does anyone know where I can still get my hands on these without using ebay? Please help me even though I'm broke! I'll be broke and happy at least.

Political Junkie

Yes, I am a nerd. I enjoy books, history and politics. I of course love fashion! I am so excited for Obama's State of the Union Address. So historical. I'm off to watch it now on ABC! But I'm said Ugly Betty, my favorite show, is ending this season.

This is what I see!

This is a problem, a plague of sorts. I know tons and tons of blogs and people have wrote it but it never really cross my mind really. The words on your ass! What is this, seriously? I mean, I have a pair of them too but I have never dared to wear them out. I bought it because everyone had it( yes, I was a fashion victim but now I move to my own beat), I just never wore it.

I find it so annoying to see words on someone's butt, why did this become stylish especially on college campuses? Worst, wear them with UGGs (UGGs are something I will get into another day). I saw so much today while walking to class, big girls, little girls! Why? I mean I go to school in New Jersey, which is obviously not the most stylish town especially when compare to my hometown of New York.

I am actually guilty of looking like a mess in school too, wearing sweats, leggings and pretty much anything that is really really comfy. My favorite sweatshirt, which I am wearing right now, has holes on them. Yes, they are not okay but who cares. It's funny because all friends at school see a completely different me when they hang with me outside of school, when I am home in New York. I just try more. I just can't bare to bring my pretty and expensive clothe and shoes (bags too) to school and have people drool or take them! Does where you are impact the way you dress? It does for me.

Back to the sweatpants... I seen girls usually with the PINK logo on their bootys but I see tons of HOT, SEXY, you get the picture. Girls, it is not okay!

HELP HAITI

This blog is about fashion and the little things in life that make us go gaga. But sometimes something happens that makes clothe seem so unimportant. I don't feel like writing about fashion when so many of my friends have families in Haiti and are still awaiting the whereabouts of their families. I already donated, as well as many people I know, so please do if you haven't.

The amount of money I spend on a t-shirt or a pair of shoes can pay for the lively hood of a Haitian family for a year. We here in the US of A are extremely lucky we live in a Democrat country where the government tries its best to help the needy( even though they don't always succeed. Katrina ring a bell, Mr. Bush).

I don't like gruesome pictures of bodies or anything violent so instead of posting any heartbreaking pictures, I decided to post a picture of Haiti itself. The tears, the screams, the worry, the wait, it's all so heartbreaking.

BTW, please don't forget about the beautiful country Dominican Republic as well. Some of my friends' family members in DR are hurt by the earthquake as well. DR is one of the most fun and relaxing places I visited. Please keep them in your prays!

I'm so bored sitting her at the library of my new internship. My boss is great and has given me countless opportunities, not to mention I like my co-intern. What got me thinking though was her very unattractive fur vest. I mean it isn't an ugly vest but it's not flattering on her shape. I love fur (faux( mostly but sometimes the real ones are so tempting as in my beautiful Alexander Wang fur sleeve coat I have yet to take a picture of). At the same time fur can be quite unflattering and bulky if not done or worn correctly.

My point is that faux fur or real fur might be beautiful on the hanger but you really have to try it on to see if it is good for your body type. For instance, I am a runner so my body is quite broad and not as tiny (like most Asian girls) as I would like. It is hard for me to find a great fur anything so when I do, real or fake, I buy it.

One of my favorite new fur vest is the What Goes Around Comes Around fur vest. It comes in 2 different style, long and short (I have the short one). It is actually quite flattering and I got it during the Black Friday sale at the WGCA store (go if you haven't, it's great and the sales girls are the best). It was available on Neimans site but since sold out after it went on sale (told you it's hot). I love anything animal print, plus it's very soft. Only downside, fur gets on my jacket sometimes but it's hot so well worth it. This doesn't make you look 2 sizes bigger and it isn't road kill!

When my mom told me it was great on me, I knew I had to have it because she doesn't like animal print or fur. It also comes in black.
