12 Hours Until I am Done

SO this is the mess I am in now. Trying to study for my last final while everyone, cousins and friends, all been home or just got home. 8 AM exam, sucks. At this point I don't really care and just want it to end. NO sleep tonight. And gummi bears, only Haribo Gold-Bears will do, are the only source of food I am getting into my system.

Btw, did you guys ever try Starbucks Vanilla frappuccino? I don't like it. It's so freakin sweet. I don't like Starbucks at all expect when I use to eat meat because their chicken sandwiches was so good.

*And yes I am watching Wendy Williams, I love her! Her initials are WW, like me!

Anyone else suffering like me? LOL. My mom said I should be lucky to be in school longer because I am getting her moneys worth. I don't know about that MOM.

My new ring

MY NEW ERICA ANENBERG RING. I love but only issue the eyes stones are different. People won't notice but I do.

*Sorry for my huge hands. I'm in my dorm room alone attempting to study and watching Accidentally on Purpose (BTW, must watch on CBS. Favorite show other than Ugly Betty).

Another Great NYTIMES article about shopping

Read http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/22/style/22service.html?pagewanted=2&_r=1&hp

Basically, it is about how the recession is impacting the way luxury stores like Bergdorfs and the holy grail, Hermes, are functioning. Everyone gets treated like a VIP, nice. I remember buying my Hermes bag, the customer service was pretty good but it is even better now. I wish I would have waited and maybe instead of a Kelly (which is love), I would have gotten a Birkin. Can't complain though. If only I knew there would be a recession of this magnitude. LOL.

How do you stay stylish during the Winter?

Seriously, how does anyone? I go to school in NJ but live in NYC so whether I am home or not, the weather is pretty much the same. Winter=ugly shoes, big jacket, lots of layers (I end up looking like a round ball), scarves and pretty much anything to keep me warm especially with the winter storm we are facing here on the East Coast. THe only plus side is I don't sweat that much because I sweat like crazy no matter what I'm doing. ITs genetics, got it from dad (TMI, I know, lol).

I like winter/fall fashion so much better but no one sees it with all the stupid layers. And I have so many pretty things to wear. What to do? How do you guys stay warm and stylish in the winter?

And please people living in warm weather or go to school there, like so of my friends, please don't rub it in my face.

BTW, when it is Summer, I am hoping its winter and when its Winter I want summer. No, actually, I only like Fall and sometimes Spring.

I need new boots because UGGs suck during snow and rain. I had the Jimmy Choo and Hunter ones but returned them because seriously $400 for rain boots. I came to my senses. NOT really because I would have keep them if they didn't discolor like they did. IT was so beautiful (MY mom told me to keep them too). Now they have a red one available and I think its so much more noticeable than the black ones. HOT.

I don't want the Burberry because everyone has one. I don't want a cheap, tacky looking winter boot. I've seen so nice Jeffrey Campbell ones for $60. My mom has a nice pair of leather UGGs but I can't imagine taking out that much for UGGs when I could put it towards a new pair of designer heels or bag. I am a victim of fashion, I know.

SO not fair!

Is anyone else still dealing with finals? I am and everyone else I know is done. I had last week off but still. My school should fix the exam periods so people don't get stuck in school the day before Christmas Eve. I hate finals!

Now this is Popcorn

So useless and nonsense but so cute. I want Chanel popcorn the next time I go to the movie. Speaking of movies, aren't the price of movie tickets and food crazy expensive. $11 a pop for a ticket and $3 for a bottle of water then $7 for a medium popcorn. BTW, has anyone seen the Sandra Bullock movie The Blind Side? I want to see it. I love Sandra!

70% off and I still can't have it!

I think I wanted a Bird Bag since I first laid eyes on it a few years ago especially this One Night Stand Clutch. It's so hot and fierce. Look at it. Its snake skin and ostritch details. It use to retail for over $1800 and now it's on sale at Net-a-porter.com for $543
(still pricey but damn its 70% off, a good deal in my book). I am thinking about it because its convertible, two bags in one. How fab! If I didn't spend so much money already, I would have ordered it already.

5 Months Until a New Chapter

Trying to finish up my last paper of my Fall semester of my senior year. Its due tomorrow at 12 am, well 12/17 at 12 am. It's a paper on the Real Housewives series. Don't ask why I am doing this but it's about analyzing something to do with pop culture that has elements of dominant ideologies in our society. HATE IT!

Five months from now, I will be graduating and starting a new chapter in my life. Took my LSATs again and pretty much bombed it and planning on retaking it soon again. I have no clue what I should be doing after graduation. I'm going to go to law school some day but maybe not right away. I might go to China or work. I am going to be interning this semester again, but in fashion. I always loved fashion and grew up in a house full of fashion. I never did anything in fashion so it is going to be fun. CAN'T WAIT! Already meet so many great people.

So what does the future hold for you guys? Any advice on what is to come from my more mature and experienced readers? I never thought the day I graduate college will come. I thought by then I would have had my life figured out but no. It's such a confusing time, what I would do to go back to my second year in college! College is flying by. I don't remember high school going by this quick.

xoxo,
Wendy

Show your SOCKS!

I remember being a child and my mom and grandma always said, "NO SOCKS WITH THOSE SANDALS!" That stuck with me for the last 21 years of my life until I saw Christian Dior's Spring 2010 shoe collection. How incredible? Many designers showed open toe shoes and sandals with sock for spring. I have seen tons of other bloggers do so too. It looks pretty cool but not a trend I will try as of yet. Its pretty but not sure if it goes with my legs ( I have big, huge muscular runner calves because I run everyday. Very masculine legs, hate them). What do you think? Rather inexpensive trend because why would anyone need to buy Dior socks or Miu Miu socks. Buy a pair of socks and do some DIY!

I want these! So hot and on sale at barneys. Barneys is having a crazy sale. I heard they order way too much stuff and they can't sell. Saks sale isn't great this year because they got smart and ordered much less quantity, so there stuff have been selling out (Sad for me because I have been eyeing a Nancy G. bag but it still not on sale).

I went to Barneys and Saks with my mom on black Friday and bought a few things including a Alexander Wang jacket. So hot. WIll take pics soon.

Go check out the Barneys sale. These Pradas are down to $450 from $750.( If I haven't spend so much money on other shoes and clothe, I would have ordered them already). BTW, I saw a prada wristlet I really want but its sold out online. I will be checking Barneys this weekend when I am back home! YEA!

MY favorite designer( and he's Asian too)

Read a great article on the Wangster from the New York Times. You know you made it when the Times does an article on you. Alexander Wang is so talented and incredible. His designs transcends the what is hot now, it's timeless. I believe I can pull out something of his 20 years from now and it will still be so chic. I have a few Wang pieces and love it. He is going to be a fashion icon and become a household name, if he is not already, like Tom Ford, Karl and Marc Jacobs. Who's your favorite designer? Like Wang as much as I do?

*My last name is Wong so technically its deep, lol.

WHAT?

Is this crazy or what? Cute but crazy! I got my first taste of designer at 13 and everyone was telling my mom how crazy it was, but this? That day when I went to buy my first Louie bag, I will never forget. I fell in love and never turned back. A big mistake on my parents part because now I only want designer, lol. That was the day that started my obsession, the day my parents would never see a low credit card bill anymore and the day I became the hardest person to shop for (just ask everyone I know). I feel bad for my future partner. When did you get your first designer piece? Thoughts!

Fingerless gloves

Does anyone get the purpose of fingerless gloves? They are cute but serious, its an oxymoron. Gloves are suppose to keep your hands warm but these gloves lose the purpose. Some are priced upwards of a thousand dollars, which is crazy. I can get a pair of arm length opera gloves for a $100 dollars. So much chicer and keeps you warm. What do you think?
