Uncertain

As some of you guys might know, I am going into my last year of college. How scary and exciting is that?! I have so much emotions going through me now. I actually still have 2 papers I haven't finished yet that I need to by the 15th of this month. It was my study abroad papers. Plus, I need to study for my LSATs. I know I want to go to law school for sure but with my current LSAT practice exam, I'm not sure which school will accept me. Its hard for me to focus when its summer. I work well under chaos when I have tons and tons to do. When school starts thats when I start being productive.

This is my final and last year of college. I seriously am not ready. I'm currently a Journalism major, but other than that, my life seem so unplanned. I wish I was a freshmen in college. College is seriously 4 or 5 of the best years of your life. Independence, all nighters, drinking till you are out and experiencing things you never ever did in high school. Its wonderful! I am missing it already! I want school to start but everything is going to be a last. Last time to choose a class, last thanksgiving break, last month long Christmas break, last spring break, last thirsty Thursdays and wasted Wednesdays. College is a time to discover who you are as a person inside, as well as what you think you want to do with the rest of your life. Many seniors still don't know what they want to do. I'm one of them. I know I want to go to law school but I also want to join the Peace Corp. I sometimes can't wait till next year of this time because then I'll be slightly more sure.

Its funny because my brother is going to college next year. He is so excited and nervous! I keep telling him he is going to have the time of his life. Just no DUIs or anything like that because I am not going to be bailing him out ( I bailed a friend out once from jail. Long crazy story). I remember my first day of college. You don't know anyone or where to go. You get lost going to class. You feel like a idiot, loser freshmen thinking this college thing will never end. You assume by your 2nd year, you probably know what you want to major in and do with your life. Then poof, three years later, going into your last year and you still have no clue. Worried as hell you will disappoint your parents. You go into college thinking you will take over the world assuming you are the brightest person. Then you meet people who are smarter than you (You've meet fierce competitors).

Like I told my brother: You probably won't be sure what you want to do with your life. You might think money isn't important at first but when junior year rolls around, you want to major in something that makes you money. Party hard but work even harder. Be happy that mom and dad are paying for everything. Join some clubs (something I didn't do much of because I am way too focused on my GPA). Meet new people and room with people you don't know. Rooming with someone is different from just being friends with someone. When you live with someone, it is a totally different experience. Last but not least, JUST ENJOY THE NEXT 4 YEARS OF YOUR LIFE. IF YOU THINK HIGH SCHOOL PASSED BY FAST, COLLEGE WILL BE FASTER. O yea, remember to study abroad! Its the best!

Nancy Gonzalez does it like no other!

Nancy Gonzalez makes exotic skin bags for the best price. No labels, timeless and the best materials! She charges $3000 for a croc bag that Gucci will charge for $28000. Her bags are the epitome of understated luxury and elegance. I am dreaming right now about this beautiful python and crocodile bag. The main panels of the bag, the front and back, are made of python but the side panels are made of crocodile. What an incredible mixture. I would have never thought that the combo would be so perfect but it really is.

Now I am kicking myself for purchasing the LV Graffiti bag in Paris and Alexander Wang Coco duffel after seeing this. Not that I don't love those bags, but this made my heart stop. WHy didn't I think of this bag, being that I did see pics of it back in April, when I was buying the others. Even though I am a vegetarian, I still buy exotic bags. Well, I actually only have one yellow python one from Sang A, the River tote, that I got for $760 in LA. It was 70% off.

I love it and can't wait to own this. If only I didn't have to just pay my school bills or else this would be mine. Side note, I did just get a extra $8000 scholarship from my school for keeping my 3.9 GPA for the past few semesters! Last year then they give it to me. My mom did say with the extra money I am saving her this year, she would put it toward my bag fund. Maybe I should ask!

No, I just bought 2 bags and can't justify it since I don't make the money. But look at this bag. The studs are the bag are covered with croc, the strap is removable and its the perfect size tote for a girl my height (I'm just an inch in a half taller than the Saks model). The color is incredible since I don't have a gray bag. I personally think gray, brown and black are great colors when it comes to croc. If only it was a grand lower, I would buy it in a heart beat. Buy it through Saks.com for $3,100. On second thought, don't because I want it! Right now, I will just admire from far.

College diet

My brother is going off to college next year. HIs experience is going to be "better" than mines because his wise sister (lol) taught him all he needs to know. Well, not really but I did impose some wisdom. If all things work out the way they are suppose to, then next year I will be off to law school or the Peace Corp. I am going into my last year which is really sad. I wish I was a freshman again because it was so exciting meeting new people and making adult decisions on your own for the first time.

One thing you get to finally decide on is what kind of foods to eat and when you want to eat. You can have cold pizza and beer for breakfast ( I hate this combo but if you hang around enough frat boys like I do, you know what I mean). For dinner you can have ice cream if you wanted. Some people, in order to save money, ate ramen all the time. Ramen isn't the healthiest but there are things you can do to make it great( get into it later). If you live on campus without a kitchen, you probably end up with a meal plan. But as upperclassmen we usually have really little money on it or no plan at all. I don't know many people eat healthy in college.

When your parents no longer control the food you buy or what you intake, you can run into a little trouble especially during Freshmen year. Freshmen 15 anyone? I didn't because I workout a ton but many people did. Whatever you want whenever+drinks+no workout=Freshmen 15! So for anyone going off to college, everything in moderation and always remember to workout. Try to eat your veggies. For the rest of us, how did you survive the college diet? Anyone gain freshmen 15? What are/was your college diet staples?

On the side note, there are many ways to make healthier ramen. I made ramen without the oil because it isn't necessary. Cuts the calories by tons. I would sometimes make ramen noodle without the water, using the soup base, some soy sauce, veggies, protein of your choice. I would come up with different ways to make ramen. Ramen recipes are endless. I probably made up 100s on the spot. My friends all did love it!

Dean and Deluca

This is one of my favorite food shops in NYC. I love Whole Foods also but Dean and Deluca is a little more upscale. The one I go to, in Soho, is small but its filled with the most delicious food. My fave is the red velvet cupcakes and cakes. So good. They don't actually make it but they shop around the best bakeries in NYC, then bring it to us, their customers. They also have great sushi and sandwiches, which are pricey but delicious. Tuna on marble is my favorite and my brother loves the Ruben.

There is usually a line for the coffee line but other than that its not that bad. Lots of tourist come here too. Some things I would never buy from them are their candy because I can buy swedish fish at Duane Reade for way less. They charge more for their candies because they slap their name across the package.

Back to the good things about Dean and Deluca! They have really great, high quality foods like seafood salad, whole salmon, fresh pasta and when I went by today they have FRENCH MACARONS! I hate American macarons ever since I had my first taste of French ones. Had so many this summer when I was in France. Laduree and Paul's in Paris has the best (they are owned by the same company). Paul's in Paris also has the best sandwiches. I am getting hungry thinking about all the food I had in Europe specially Paris. My cousin is actually there right now studying abroad, lucky! The macarons at Dean and Deluca are good but not quite as great as Laduree. But hey that was the best I had since I got back here.

So what are some of your favorite food places to shop at? Any great places in NYC for French macarons? The macarons are about $2 for a small at D&D.

ALexander McQueen!

Raise your hands if you love everything he comes up with? My hands would be way up if I wasn't typing this post. I am in love with all his handbags and jewelry this fall season. From the Knuckle Duster Multi Ring to the Faithful Leather Glove Clutch, I love everything! Only McQueen will come up with an idea like using a glove as functioning part of the clutch. Great for clubbing. I know so many girls who literally lost their bags dancing in the club!

Check out the Skull Knuckle Duster Whipsnake Clutch in red, it's fabulous! It also comes in patent black leather but red one is made of snakeskin and more eye catching. It would be a little annoying to hold the clutch, but in the words of Tim Gunn, I will "make it work." Hopefully (PROBABLY NOT) both the clutches will go on sale( I will be checking daily during sale time on saks. Saks has the best sales, so does Barney's). I will make it part of my collection then.

The Leather Union Jack Skull Clutch brings back fond memories of my summer in England. I miss living in London. Don't get me wrong, I love NYC but London was were I gained my independence. Even though I go away for school in Jersey (my last year of undergrad), living out of the country means your parents can't make surprise visits or constantly check up on you (not that my parents do that much but they have done it a few times). I am their only daughter so I totally understand.

Back to McQueen! I will probably pick up the knuckle ring soon once my tuition gets paid and I see that mom left me a little money in the account. The ring is priced at $550 and clutch ranges from $895 for the leather glove clutch to $1385 for the patent black knuckle clutch and $1895 in red snake skin. Saks has them, so shop!

Does anyone else have Mac problems?

The Safari on my Mac book is not functioning. It opens sometimes and doesn't the other. Everytime it opens its like I won the lottery or something. Serious, it is that much of a 50/50 chance. Its so annoying. Is it just my mac or does this happen on anyone else's Mac? I got this laptop back in Oct, so it shouldn't be acting up just yet. How funny is this, it just opened up while I was typing this on my home computer.

Anyone out there have any diet tips?

I don't know about you guys but me, I am always on a diet. Well, not really because I pretty much eat everything and then spend hours in the gym. I seriously spend anywhere from 90 to 120 mins in the gym daily. I usually work out 7 days a week (at least 6). I love food too much! I seriously need to eat healthier and stop all the sugar intake. I use to weigh a lot and lost weight when I was about 17. I, so far at least, keep the weight off for 4 years. I will get into why I lost the weight later on. I worry everyday about the foods I eat and my body. People tell me I am not fat, but I feel FAT! I have body insecurities, which I partly blame on my family because there is always pressure to be thin. It's weird because when I was fat I felt more secure about myself but now that I am thinner, I feel so insecure. I try to eat healthy but then when I see food, I can't control myself. Shoot away with your advice about body image, diet, working out and how you keep the weight off. Anyone else out going through what I am going through?

DOUBLE EYELIDS: A VERY TOUCHY SUBJECT

For people who are Asians out there, especially girls, you guys all know what I am talking about. DOUBLE EYELIDS! Yes, many of you will be like WTF is she blogging about. Well, a double eye lid is the crease/fold that most people have on top of the eyelids. Only 50% of Asians are naturally born with this and the other aren't. Growing up I was always told how lucky one was to be able to be blessed with them. Parents literally check their babies eyes out right after they open their eyes just to see. Only 4 people in my family have this.I didn't have them, but my mom has been offering me a procedure to fix that. The cost can run anywhere from $2,000 to $4,000. I am seriously thinking about taking my parents offer and doing it during my Christmas vacation from school. My older cousins are telling me NO, while my cousin Anita (my age) is telling me to go for it if it makes me feel better. She was the lucky one, lol. All the adults in my family are telling me to go for it. One of my aunts even got this procedure done when she was in her 20's. What should I do? Koreans are actually the #1 group of people who get the surgery. I'm not Korean but I have Korean friends who have gone through with procedure. On one hand, I want it but the other hand I feel like I am trying to be more "Western" and denying what makes me Chinese and ME. What do you think? Should I? O yea, many Asian girls buy double eyelid tape to make it seem as if they have some.

Jimmy CHOO rainboots: Should I keep them?

These boots are hot, of course! But I don't know because they are expensive for rubber. My mom said keep them for the winter and I hate uggs because water gets into them when it snows and rains. Plus, Uggs are ugly! My mom says yes to everything so I don't know. Hmmm... I got back from England a few weeks ago from studying abroad and I spent so much money! Plus, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag from Paris. I also purchased the ALexander WAng COco duffel. I've been spending money like it is water. I don't make any, lol, but I spend like crazy. Life is great with great parents. There pretty, croc print, but they're rubber for $410 after taxes. Darn NYC tax! I love croc and animal prints ( and you will probably come to see this after following me on my blog). The inside lining of the boot is leopard, HOT! SO HOT but what do you think? Should I keep them or return them? To my defense, I pre ordered them with the notion they were going to come in DEC or Feb, but they arrived early! I'll post pics of me wearing them soon! The package they come in is so darling!

WELCOME!

Hey everyone! Thanks for taking time out to check my blog out. After following tons and tons of blogs out there, I realized that I might as well take the time to create my own. This blog is going to be devoted to fashion, school, life and everything in between. My name is Wendy (wendizzle), 21, born and raised in the best city in the world, NYC. I love fashion (its in my genes). Have the greatest parents in the world who give me everything I need and pretty much want ( there are limits). Going into my last year of college then hopefully off to law school or the peace corp. Law school only if I get in, but the LSATs are killing me literally. But though I am stressed about that I always have time to check up on the latest fashion. Nothing is better that street fashion. Love to mix low and high end pieces. BAGS are my addiction. I love to travel and eat also. Hate to workout but I do everyday. Well, this is the you get to know me post, so please tell me a little about you. Through this blog, I hope to grow more comfortable with who I am and get to meet more of you lovely people reading this! Thanks!
